Dare you face the Dragons' den?
A rare chance for voluntary and community organisations to present their ideas to a panel of experts - with a chance of winning financial or other support.
2012 Dragons Den event
May 24th saw representatives of the Lions Club of Fleet together with a couple of guests in action at their third annual Dragons Den event. Inspired by the successful TV programme, local groups or individuals are invited to make a pitch on the night for funding or help in the promotion of their event.
From an extended list of prospective candidates, eleven were selected on the night to give a 10 minute presentation to the five Dragons.
Fleet Lions President Ken Carter commended the quality of presentations this year and the scope of work that is carried out by the local groups merited support by the community.
Fleet Lions will be making their announcements on the groups that are to be supported during the first week of July.
